Rekha Yelloji RaoRekha M Y received her Ph.D. from the department of Materials Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India in 2020. During her Ph.D. she worked on microstructure-corrosion property correlation of metal/alloy-graphene composite coatings, graphene and graphene-oxide-based composites and electron microscopy, and nanomaterials. Following her graduate studies, Rekha is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher beginning February 2020 in the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering department at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. Her current research work focuses on the ‘Hydrogen embrittlement studies in high-strength steels using TEM and APT techniques’ and ‘Characterization of Al alloy materials produced by advanced manufacturing methods’. Her research experience developed a strong interest and expertise in material synthesis and characterization techniques using advanced microscopy techniques such as SEM, FIB, EDS, TEM, STEM, APT, and XRD. She has published over 25 journal articles in leading international journals, presented her work at 8 leading international conferences, and reviewed more than 20 international journals.
